Purchases, Virtual Items & Refunds
Applies to SweepsPlayground.com and related services for users in New Zealand.
1) Purchases
We may offer paid features, packages, or access to Virtual Items (defined below) through our website or via third-party platforms (e.g., app stores/payment processors). Your purchase is for personal, non-commercial use only and is subject to these terms and any applicable platform terms.
2) Virtual Items (coins, credits, tokens, boosts, etc.)
- Virtual Items are licensed digital content/features for use within the Service.
- Virtual Items have no cash value, are not currency, and are not a bank or stored-value product.
- Virtual Items are non-transferable and non-redeemable; they cannot be exchanged for cash, withdrawn, or “cashed out”.
- We do not recognise transfers, sales, or trades of Virtual Items outside the Service. Any attempted transfer may result in loss of the Virtual Items and/or account action.
Important:
Virtual Items do not represent property rights. Access to Virtual Items may be limited, modified, or removed if required for safety, legal, or operational reasons, consistent with applicable law.
3) Pricing, GST, and billing
- Prices are shown at checkout and may change from time to time (including promotions and discounts).
- Where applicable, New Zealand GST and any other taxes/levies will be displayed at checkout or included as required by law.
- If you purchase via a third-party platform, that platform may be the merchant of record and may set additional tax or billing rules.
- You are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information and for any fees charged by your bank/card provider.
4) Cancellations & refunds
Unless required by New Zealand law or expressly stated at checkout, purchases of digital content/Virtual Items are generally final once delivered/credited, and we do not provide refunds for change of mind, mistaken purchases, or unused Virtual Items.
However, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) where it applies (for example, if digital services are not provided with reasonable care and skill, are not fit for purpose as described, or have a substantial failure). If a remedy is available, we will work with you to repair, replace, re-supply, or refund as appropriate under the CGA.
If you purchased via an app store or other third party, refunds may need to be requested through that provider under their refund process.
5) Chargebacks and disputed payments
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorised, contact us first so we can help. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in temporary suspension of access while we investigate, and we may require repayment for confirmed legitimate charges.
Billing support & contact
For billing questions, receipts, refund requests, or to report an unauthorised purchase, contact us with your account email, transaction ID (if available), date, amount, and the payment method used.
